all about me
childhood & education
I was born and raised in the mid-Hudson Valley region of New York. After completing primary and secondary schooling in that area I attended Binghamton University from 2000-2004 in Binghamton, NY. At BU I studied computer science at the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science named after former IBM Chairman Thomas J. Watson. The degree program has been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET.org) since 1989.
After graduating I moved to the Atlanta metro region in October of 2004 to begin my professional career. I started as a quality assurance engineer at Digital Envoy. The company specializes in IP geolocation technology and various applications related to this core concept (this technology is the basis for their 2 business units). After this, I moved into the healthcare industry by working at Navicure starting in 2006. Navicure specialized in healthcare claim processing, remittance information, eligibility verification, and other services. At Navicure, I held many job titles including:
- QA Engineer
- QA Manager
- EDI/QA Manager
- Director of EDI & QA
- Director of Quality Assurance
I was part of an IT leadership team that helped create Navicure into a $100+ million dollar company that was purchased by Bain Capital. Soon after Navicure merged with Zirmed to become Waystar and with that merger I transitioned to the new role of Enterprise QA Architect.
After Waystar I joined Market Force Information where I am currently the Global Director of Quality Assurance.
outside of my occupation
When not working I enjoy traveling to theme parks, camping with my teardrop trailer (T@G XL Teardrop), hiking, running obstacle course races, and attending Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando. I also like to make things and cook stuff so I posted some blog entries on this website.
